Central PA Chapter First to Conduct a Covenant Signing with the U.S. Army and the Armed Forces
As part of the signing Army Ambassador David Thomas, and Soldiers from the Harrisburg Recruiting office Sgt. David Sowers and SFC Stacey Heygood (both have served with the 82nd in current theater operations) signed.
Started in 2008, the Community Covenant is a formal affirmation of support by communities and organizations to Service members and theirfamilies - Active, Guard and Reserve.

On March 7, 2010 The chapter took a milestone step by becoming the first 82nd Airborne Association chapter on record, in the country to conduct a Covenant Signing with the U.S. Army and the Armed Forces.
